Your rank is where you stand as far as your number of points compared to others...I'm ranked #90...that means 89 people have more points than me. I used to be in the 40's somewhere...I guess I've been busy. You level up as you get points, levels have nothing to do with other people - you just get to the next level when you have enough points.
