You're reading What running back holds the record for most rushing touchdowns in one game?
Comments
Everything i found on Nevers says that he scored 6 touchdowns in a game, but does not specify if they were all rushing or if he caught any....he's listed as the "Do Everything" guy...so I'm not sure about this.

I found this in NFL Records under "Rushing records". When did Sayers do it? I'm not finding that.

You are right, the list you provided does not mention Gale Sayers, but my link does specifically say NFL, vs San Francisco in 1965. Technically, BOTH answers are correct, but the backups for both of them don't mention each other...very strange.

I don't know why it keeps posting the link wrong on the other post, but the site is commerce.thinkweb.com/retro-jersey/sayers-stats.html
