  • Neither one. I have received lessons on how to tell the truth without being insulting. My comment would be along the lines of constructive ideas on how the meal could have been improved, along with an offer to help cook the next one.
  • I would "accidentally on purpose" spill something all across the nasty food so I would not have to eat it. Apologize profusely for my clumsy blunder and then offer to take them out for a meal to show my appreciation for their effort and hard work.
  • Eat a little bit of it, but if they ask how it is I'd probably break it to him. I'd be polite and say that that I'm happy he made the food and its the thought the counts but maybe next time I should cook. The longer you two have been together you can break it to them alot easier, so If youve been together for 2 yrs and are pretty close (and constantly joke around)you can go ahead and say "Next time, try not to get your ingridents from the sewage plant, but thanks hun, I love the thought!"
