Running with Scissors! The movie sucked, then I found out it was a book. It was great and funny as hell!
I Am Legend. I'm a huge fan of vampire literature, but I guess I musta skipped that one, and I would have never known that the movie had literal roots due to its style.
The Ruins (the book is SO much better than the movie, it's a great scary story)
Fight Club. I didn't know until after I started doing research about the movie.
Fried Green Tomatoes. I didn't know it was originally a book until after I saw the movie.
Well what movie I am surprised they are making is The Watchman.
Peter Pan!
Its, in my opinion, highly improved in the film.
Not a movie, but I was surprised yesterday to find out that "8 Is Enough" was a book before a television series. Hope that counts.
