- NEW!

I thought Voyager jumped the shark...but then Enterprise got back on track. I hated all of the movies.
I don't think that it ever did. Movies 1 and 5 were admittedly not the best, but the rest were all very good in my opinion. I enjoyed all of the series and was disappointed when Enterprise was canceled after only four seasons.
It still hasnt jumped the shark. Theres a new movie coming out, and fan based projects still pop up from time to time.
I thought it had with the first movie - so stupid!
Then Khan came along and we had hope.
Those who paid attention felt we were on solid ground with most of Enterprise (except for the atrocious last episode). And the hype is even greater with Enterprise re-runs.
It never has for me. There have been ups and downs, to be sure, but I'm still a big fan.
Looking forward to the movie this summer.
Voyager. Never got on with it. Star Trek always had deus ex machina a go-go but in Voyager it just got silly. I think Ron Moore said when he came to do battlestar that he wanted things to run out, break down and generally go wrong. Voyager was more or less always in perfect condition despite whatever had befallen it in the previous episode.
Enterprise didn't improve matters for me either I am afraid.
As far as the films went, #5 was awful. #6 redeemed them and the next gen films were a steady decline during their run (first contact maybe being an exception).
I am interested to see the new film. But maybe lightening has been caught in the jar just too many times now, to paraphrase Leonard Nimoy.
Hong Kong scientists say that time travel is impossible. Clearly they are not Star Trek fans. Who wants to tell them about Warp speeds?

How come in the original Star Trek the first officer had a secondary role, but in Next Generation he was just first officer?

In Star Trek, when they say "three to beam up" or "two to beam up" or whatever, how do they know which three?
