  • That depends on the size of your picture, your cell carrier and your service plan. If your service plan doesn't include data they will charge you by the kilobyte. For example, Verizon typically charges $0.002 per kilobyte (1/5 of a cent). Since the typical cellphone picture is probably between 100 and 300 kilobytes, the charge would be between $0.20 and $0.60 for the data. If your plan does not include picture messaging, there may be additional charges per message (something like $0.25 in addition to the data charges). This brings it to between $0.45 and $0.85 per picture message. This is pretty much an educated guess, though. You should contact your service provider and find out more about your plan.
  • Tracfone charges 1 minute to connect plus whatever airtime you use sending it; usually1-1.5 minutes for a full-resolution picture. How much money that is depends on how big an airtime card you put in. For the 120-minute card, that equals about 50-62 cents... or less if you used a promotional code for bonus airtime.
  • I do it for free just about every day! I have a T-Mobile Sidekick with unlimited email and internet plan, 70 bucks a month, something like that.
