Oh yeah, for that is quite normal. It is not uncommonplace now, especially since gas is back down 20 cents.
-
yes, use to love it..no, more of that..:)
-
i still do that...
-
I used to love doing that, but then I just got tired of driving, having to deal with so many morons on the road.
-
Yup, big time. About once a week I would get drunk and my sister would take me out for a drive (young and stupid). I loved it though, it was very nice.
-
that is one of the things i miss most about not driving these days... i was mapping out new areas i had not seen while listening to tunes quite a bit... looking back it was wasteful but man what a passtime

I still do. I just don't drive as far or as long....(smile)
-
Yep. Still do, though with the long road trips I take all the time I listen to a lot of audio books on my iPod. They keep my awake and alert longer.

I used to live in a small town where the only thing to do in the afternoon was to lap around the town's main street. Music was always a plus.
-
All the time. I used to drive to PCH.

I drove 60-80 hour weeks hauling 80 thousands pounds of various types of natural resources all over U.S. and Canada.Music drives me crazy, and I hate traffic lights, and I hate driving.Sometimes music is poetic on a good day.I think I've heard every song written, and don't know who's who anymore.
-
Yes! I never really quit, though, even when gas was ridiculous because I have a 70 mile commute every weekday. Car karaoke is cathartic.
-
Who needs cars? With invention of that wonderful device called the I-pod, you can now have music everywhere you go, including riding your bicycle to work, and hiking on a remote nature trail.

Gas is not expensive. In the 50s, the era of drive-in restaurants and drive-in movies, a gallon of gas cost an hour of a teenager's wages and a car that got 12 miles per gallon was considered pretty good.
