All states and even counties are different I think.Call the licensing department they can tell you.

Maybe not for a government organization. I don't see how this would hinder your employment. If it were financial, I'm sure you'd be kept away from the money.

Not necessarily. If you're looking to work for an Electrical contractor then it's most likely their call. If you're looking to join a union then it may be an issue. in that case you should definately check with your local chapter.
