  • Korean names are almost always derived from Chinese characters. One would need to know which Chinese character was used in order to know the meaning. Soo Mi would be comprised of two characters -- each character would have a meaning. That name sounds very girlie and might very well be the name of a girl. If so, then the Mi character is probably "beautiful" however it really isn't possible to know without seeing the Chinese.
  • Cipher is right. I got an interesting result when running it through babelfish. The result of soo-mi (수미) was "Beginning and ending." Very cool.
