  • Pretty much any moment that I'm not tangled up in self-centered thinking, really. Only when I start going on and on about how great I am, or how horrible I am, or what other people think of me, etc. -- that's when the joy goes away. It really harshes my buzz.
  • -When I eat REALLY good cake. -...When I kill a bug. -When I sneeze on someone and they freak out on me :P -When people rate my answer as "Helpful!". -Cheesecake! -Chocolate! -When I fall and don't feel anything. -When I wear something that came right out of the dryer. -When I read this and realize how pathetically stupid my reasons are.
  • I couldn't answer this for a loooong time tonight. Now that I can here is the answer I copied from the other browser: I feel joy whenever I have a good time with friends, or if I find a new friend, though that doesn't happen very often :( I like it when I hear a song that I like, especially on the radio. I have to admit, I feel joy when I get a good rating here. I also feel joy when I see family that I haven't seen for a while, like my uncle. I love Christmas too! Another thing is when I get into a nice warm spa, and get to relax :)
  • When my kitty purrs When my kitty nibbles on my nose When my kitty headbutts me When I get to see my little sister Watching children play Celebrating Samhain Celebrating Beltane Being able to solve someone's problems, or even help Sleeping in
  • -When I play with my dog and he smiles (seriously! dogs can smile!). -When I'm out dancing in a club and the rhythm and the music and the lights are all in an ecstatic synchronicity with me (without drugs, by the way). -When I pump out that last rep, when I thought I would NEVER be able to do it. -When I realize that I am a good person who has family and friends who love and appreciate me, as I do them.

  • When my feet are returned to the ground. Could be something good or bad. A dislocated shoulder or not singing the high note because the song is so beautiful I've choked up. Doesn't matter. My feet have been returned to the ground. Reminds me this is not a drill, a simulation, a dress rehearsal or a virtual reality. Its reality.
  • When I am following my divine purpose. Edit: I am not sure if you are asking what I mean by divine purpose or what is my divine purpose. Following my divine purpose means doing what spirit intended me to do. In other words when I am being who I was meant to be. At this time I believe my divine purpose is to teach and help others. And to be and advocate for those who can't advocate for themselves. I say at this time because what I used to think my purpose was is not what I think it is now.
  • The moment my parachute opens.
  • When I my grandkids put their arms around my neck and say,"I love you, Papa! That is pure joy!
  • When I get good grades - which is becoming rare nowadays. When my family is happy. When my friends are happy. I am joyful most at the end of school years and the last school day before long weekends, holidays, and days we don't have school. And when I don't get a lot of homework, and when I feel I have everything under control.
  • The minute I realise it will be ok in the end
  • There are alot of things that give me joy, but the thing that does for me the most? When my kids accomplish their goals. Watching their faces light up when they know they have done a good job. Being a single mother of 2, it is a great joy to watch them succeed. We should all encourage our children to strive for excellence.
  • The most intense joy I feel is when I realize that I and the universe and God are one...That everything is really going to be OK, and I will be there to watch it be ok. I also feel joy from simple things, like butterfly kisses from my girlfriend. Or listening to a good song (How it Ends by Devotchka, or Sweetest Thing by U2) I get joy when other humans astound me. Like when I read some of Stableboy's answers. Or when I read about people like Martin Luther King Jr. That's when I receive joy.
