In every car I've ever owned, one flasher works all the turn signals and one works the hazards. When you turn on your turn signals, the current is routed through that flasher to the lights. The flasher is what turns the lights on and off. When it blows, the lights may come on, but they won't flash. Sometimes they don't come on at all. Its a cheap part and a 10 second repair, so try that first.
If that doesn't do it, check the turn signal switch itself. I don't know about the '92, but the older Escorts would break inside the switch. The "stalk" would hang down limply and the lights would all short out. That is a more expensive repair, but if the switch is hanging out of position, I'd check into it. The turn signal switch on my '82 was expensive enough that I bought a replacement out of a junkyard.

My 1997 Ford Escort tries to turn over when I start it, but it sounds a lot like a car that isn't getting air, fuel, or a spark.

You're reading The turn signals in my 92 Ford Escort all stopped working at the same time. The small fuse is not blown, can anybody tell me what might be wrong?
