I must admit it was a bit disconcerting. However, I hope that MLB does go more international. The inevitable result will be that non-USA teams will win the series occasionally. I'm ok with that. Go Angels !

Nah. I think Americans are big enough to understand the game is international (so to speak). We do not begrudge our northern brothers for their success.

They had been in the play off running for a few years before that, so It's not like they came out of nowhere with it like if the expos had suddenly won it, and like someone else said, half the team (up to 90% the next year in 93) were traded from american teams anyway (carter, alomar, winfield, cone, etc next year they put molitor, stewart, henderson, etc on top of it)
