I had that happen. I contacted the IRS. They garnished his tax returns to pay back the arrearage. This will work especially if you have a wage assignment order against him. If you don't - I'd consider getting one (even though that means another court date).

Appeal to your lawyer to have the court date moved up, explain that it is an emergency. The courts and social services are being overwhelmed by the avalanche of people who are in need, as a result of the current Depression. You might try to contact a women's protection service, such as W.E.A.V.E or someone on this list: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=help+getting+child+support&btnG=Search Collecting the child support your ex spouse owes can be more taxing than even getting divorced in the first place. There are also collection agencies that specialize in putting the pressure on deadbeat parents. Contact your local Child Support Enforcement (CSE)or Child Support Association (CSA)You can find your local CSA, along with information on what they can do and how to contact them, by clicking on your state at the following link: http://www.acf.hhs.gov/programs/cse/extinf.html. Put a lien on the non-custodial parent’s property. If the property sells, the proceeds will go toward paying off the child support debt.
