Yes it is okay. I gave birth to 2 sons, one crawled, the other didnt. My Pediatrician said not to worry each baby is different.

I've seen this before. Some strong babies just pull themselves up to stand and soon walk. I would not be concerned unless you have observed other developmental lags.
Crawling is not really a survival skill anyway, now groveling is a different matter.

i am sorry but i believe that crawling is VERY important. it helps to develop motor skills that greatly influence the learning process, reading in particular. my mother says that there are many articles written on this major subject. in fact, my uncle had to GO BACK!! and learn to crawl when he was in jr high school(BC HE COULD NOT READ) he now a professor with a masters in psychology and teaches in a university.. look it up!!!
    good luck!
get on the floor w him
    play doggie
    or different animal games.

This is common with boys. We've had two friends whose sons skipped the crawling phase altogether and went right to walking. The drawback is they really aren't mature enough to have the responsibility of walking and they get into everything...it's a whole new level of exploration.

    Have fun.
