If you color your hair, do you have it done professionally or do you do it yourself?

I color my own hair. My hair grows so fast that I need to color it every 5-6 weeks. My budget is just a little too tight to have it done professionally...at least, not that often. And I've had gray hair since I was in my 20s, so I've been doing it myself for years.

I've had it done before, but it was so expensive because of the length of my hair that I have done it myself more often than not. Won't be dying it anymore, though.

I used to color it myself and it was fading faster. I like the way the salon does it and its my me day. The clor is richer and shiny. The ones in the store are not potent enough.

Professionaly, done with weaved highlights so that they last up to two years. That way I don't have to do it that much (and it looks very natural!).

I do it myself, because the colour I dye my hair is only about one shade darker so it doesn't really need to be done professionally, and I save about 40 bucks

I do it myself. highlights too. I haven't had very good experiences with professionals.

Professionally - and it always, ALWAYS looks fantastic. People never notice when Jerry is done with my hair - they just know I have it cut... and it looks really nice. and we never color it quite the same way twice! LOL! usually at least 2 colors, sometimes 3. He's a master colorist and it really, really shows in his work.

Myself. At least I can watch movies while waiting for it to dry(with popcorn!). =D

I colour it myself -- or rather, get my boyfriend to do it for me. I use a mix of indigo and henna, so I end up with a nice auburn, usually.
