More women than men have urges to take care of others, esp children. Historically men molest children more often than women and statistically men who baby sit children are more likely to be babysitting to be in close proximity to small children. No offense Gold_Autumn but if you were a man (I can't tell you gender by your screen name) I would wonder why you wanted to baby sit my children. Teens who need jobs usually turn to babysitting or yard work. I would wonder why you're paternal instincts had kicked in so early and why a mewling baby was more appealing to you than masculine digging and tree pruning.

I didn't ralize they did, so I'll have to take your owrd for it. GENERALLY SPEAKING (in case there are men who are trying to take offense to my answer), women are natural nuturers. We notice details when caring for infants and children that totally escape a man (GENERALLY SPEAKING).

A nanny is always a girl, just like a maid or a waitress. A ''manny'' is always a boy, just like a butler or a waiter. Many belive see the nanny/maid duties as "girl's work" (even if there are boy servants too). Some believe a young girl (late teens/early 20's) working as a maid or nanny, living in a small room in the employers house, is often much more obedient than a young boy in the same age. A young girl will probably, or is at least suspected to, obey and do as she's told, like wearing a uniform (in the past often "traditional maid dress", but nowadays often a blouse, skirt and high-heeled footwear), obey their employers and follow all rules, even though the girl hate it. A young boy will probably cause more problems, like being more cheeky to the employer and refues to wear a uniform (like a white shirt with tie, matching trousers, black shoes) so at least strict employers will probably have more troubles with boys. But on the other hands, there are probably some girls who causes problems and some boys who obey too.

Many people would never employ a boy as a domestic worker at all, they just employ girls.
