I would say you have a great chance..especially cause if you plead not guilty, you will automatically be released if the officer who gave you the ticket does not show up.

Just go contest it and say that you did stop. The DA will most likely want to settle and you can get it reduced to a cheap fine and no points. I got caught by an offduty police officer (his wife was driving) going about 80 in a 40 on my motorcycle. They chased me to my work and called the police to write me a ticket. I contested it because in that town, a police officer cannot commandeer a civilian vehicle for a civil matter (such as speeding). So, since his wife was driving, he essentially commandeered his own vehicle from his wife. Plus, since he accused me of going so fast, he himself engaged in a pursuit offduty in a civilian vehicle (out of uniform, most law enforcement can't do ANY police work due to policy) matching the speed I was going. When I brought this to the DA, they immediately made calls to whoever and we ended up settling for 1 point and no monetary fine. That was simply awesome.
