I'm a music professor/composer. :) I make my students watch Amadeus and then quiz them on historical inaccuracies. Johan Fux was a composer, but was most famous for his counterpoint book...which we still draw from today. Grassman was most famous as an opera and ballet composer who was loved dearly by Emperor Joseph II, who made him court conductor around 1773. Two of Gassman's daughters were students of Salieri (one, ironically went on to become a great singer of Mozart's catalog).

Ohhh! Really? How cool. It was inaccurate, but a great movie. Why didn't I have teachers like you?
