The Man Who Knew Too Much didn't really work for me. No Country For Old Men, I thought, had a perfect ending.

Phantom of the Opera ... why couldn't the Phantom have gotten the lady!!!?!
War of the Worlds. I QUICKLY went to the bathroom and when I came back, it was over! Didn't see it ending so suddenly and weak.
"Fight Club" is in a class by itself for that.
