Oh great, now I am worrying that I am too happy. Why should I be happy? What have I done to deserve this? Thanks a lot, JERK!!! Everything was going fine until you showed up. Why don't I just sit out in the lawn while the neighbors dog takes a dump on my lap. He would do it do!!!

Well if you are feeling down then something must have happened for you to feel this way. Why would we worry if we were happy?

I think about what makes me happy, all the time. I think it is extremely important to know that.

I think that the best perspective is to remain optimistic and grateful for the positive things as much as possible. Whether things are going well or not, you can always choose to extract the best from your life. Nobody wants to have a "fair weather friend", so why only be happy when happy things are coming your way? You have to be true to your life and situation -- accept things as they happen -- and trust that even the worst situations could be alright. People tend to take the wonderful things for granted and then turn around and wonder "why me" ... situations are constantly changing. It is how we react to them that remains constant.

Well when you are happy you just accept the moment and when you are down you can concentrate on being grateful, positive and talk yourself back to happier moments or you can let the black side take over and not fight it, it takes over and life gets worse. We should be like the Dog...live in the moment, not question the past or worry about the future, que sera, sera.

If you look at this in a positive light, it could mean that we consider being happy a normal state of affairs and therefore don't question it; but that being unhappy an abnormal state of affairs and therefore seek to remedy or find the cause for it. (I don't know that what you say is always true though.I know people who say - and believe - the saying "it's a beautiful day - now watch some bastard come along and stuff it up.")
