My Fisher PT800 TV changes channels by itself. What could be wrong?

  The picture is distorted. It almost looks like letterbox, but the bottom and top of the screen appear squished, while the middle appears normal. Sometimes it fixes itself, but then it comes back. I can see black and white bars at the very top.
