I think it wouldn't be able to live up to the anime, though it would be interesting to see who they would cast as Faye Valentine.

I think there's a possibility that it would suck, but I think if they go all out it would be pretty good. I'd like to see some new talent doing it though. I don't want to look at a character and think of some other role they did.

No. If there was a decent director, and cast, I think it'd probably go well as a movie. It's an interesting story line, and would probably be enjoyed by non-anime fans too. But definately couldn't live up to the anime. :P

Hell yes, it's going to suck. They've cast Keanu Reeves as Spike, and have decided that none of the story in the middle matters and are only using the first and last episodes for the storyline.

Richard...where did you get this info? I've heard nothing about hollywood doing a live action of this. And as far as skipping most of the "story", if you remember, 95% of the episodes have nothing to do with the story lol. Random bountys.
