  • I am not a fan of hunting and wouldn't do it myself, but I have nothing against people who do it for the purposes of eating or other productive uses of the animals they kill. It is no different than fishing. I don't quite understand, however, the practice of stuffing and mounting the dead animal.
  • Well I don't eat any kind of meat so that bit of the question is pretty much given. I'm not in favour of hunting animals for sport, or hunting endangered animals under circumstances where there are plenty of other foods available. In societies (such as tribal societies) where people survive by hunting, killing and eating their own food, I'm all for it. If anything I have more respect for that process than the intensive farming practices that are the norm in the west. At least if you've killed the animal yourself you have to recognise that something died for you, and you ought to make an effort to really make a beautiful, enjoyable meal out of it and really appreciate and be grateful for it as a mark of respect, not mash it up with a load of chemicals, call it KFC and chuck it down your throat without thinking. I have more respect for someone who will kill and eat their own meat, than someone who expects it to be done for them and never have to see the blood and guts and gore.
  • i grew up in a house hold w/ little money so hunting traping and fishing have always been a must. so i theink that iff you use the meet, use/sell/give the hide, and are responsable with ur weaponry then ihave no problum but i hate pochers. and i have and will continue to eat wild game. my fav is beaver
  • I'm totally for it because I also grew up in a household where you either did or, well, did. However, I'm ALWAYS against it if the person is killing for sport, and then never uses the meat or atleast donates it to a soup kitchen or equivalent.
  • I have tried and don't like it but would not stop others from doing it. Safety is a big issue for me though and I was nearly shot on private property by hunters as a teenager. I was riding a brown horse during hunting season on private, fenced land. Never try that one again. My horse got spooked and I fell off, dislocating my hip. Hunters should be more careful than they generally are. They often have terrible accidents or cause them.
  • I believe control hunting is ok. especially when it come to food. However illegal and some game hunting is not ok.
  • hunting is a time-honored tradition and means of controlling wild game populations. when done skillfully and in accordance with the law, it is a enjoyable activity that ties us to our heritage and traditions as a family and a nation
  • i know because of over population that if we did not hunt certain animals than they would die from starvation, i don't believe in the places that stock animals like an arcade... i think it must be a true hunt. i don't eat wild meat because i always think of bambi or thumper and i just cannot do it. i am a sweetheart what can i say?
  • I love hunting, but I have never done it, but it seem like a nice sport. However I'm not sure what to with it, cause I want to hunt waterflow, but my mom (which likes putting me down)hates duck and goose(or thats what she says). BUT I was thinking of rabbit because I can do something with the skin and the meat.
