  • depends on the type of disease. our bodies can fight off a lot of things. cuts are easy because they are small. but when you get into diseases that engulf a larger portion of the body, the immune system and white blood cells can't work fast enough. this, however, isn't the case for all diseases. genetic diseases can't be fought off because the body doesn't recognize them as bad. correcting this problem would probably involve some kind of gene therapy. thankfully, modern medicine can make up for a lot of what our bodies can't do.
