  • try sticking them in the oven that might take longer than you wanted but those are the only ways I've heard of making cookies soft. It works with donuts too. yummm
  • Still, use the microwave, but in a different manner. place the stale cookies inside two wet paper towels. one on top, one on the bottom. microwave for 20 seconds. Yeah, it worked and you love it. You are welcome.
  • Kind of cheating, but soaking them in milk - they go soft and taste great, just like rusk biscuits when I was in nappies.
  • Wouldn't know. Never had one long enough for it to get stale!
  • I've heard of putting a slice of bread in the cookie jar---but I'm not sure if that is for freshly baked cookies or for cookies that have already become hard and dry (for some reason, all my Christmas cookies turned out that way this year----what a waste for me)--Now I'm trying to figure out how to "revive" them.
