Do you remember using a paint brush to paint, before the roller was invented and when was it invented?

Not sure when the roller brush was invented but I still use a regular paint brush. I've painted more houses than I can count and rollers are great for big areas but for some detailed work a brush is best.

My dad meticulously painted every room in my parent's house. Kind of cool, actually. He used a roller on the main walls but certainly used a brush to get edges close to the ceiling and the baseboard. I am sure it was painstaking to do the entire wall by paintbrush - but it's still a handy thing to have!

I Don't know when the roller was invented But I have always used a brush for details and rollers for big Area's and brushes for the picket fence;)

Never mind the roller,have you checked out the squaer edger? I did my door frames and all my window edges with it.I took it off the holder and put gloves and held it with my hands.It was the first time I painted with no mistakes(hardly)
