I just started wearing contacts and when I've had them in for about 10 minutes my eyes feel really heavy. What could this mean/be?

I had the same issues. Its just getting used to the contacts in yours eyes thats annoying. So if they dotn start shaping up so to speak and youre not able to handle them then go to the doctor. Then again my episode was my eyes really could handle contacts so i got to stick with glasses for my whole life.

your eyes have to get used to having a foreign object on them
if it continues, see the ophthalmologist that gave them to you.
