Led Zeppellin ("Going to California") and Iron Maiden ("Revelations") are my two favorate bands so any thing from them I like but those are the I really like from them.

Like Jerv said in his answer, you listen to the music you grew up with, and for me the 1970s are decisive. I list some not too well known bands I still like a lot: Kraan, Can, Grobschnitt, Ian Dury and the Blockheads, Gentle Giant, Colosseum, Curved Air, Focus, Spirit, Doctors of Madness, Dr. Feelgood, Matumbi, Linton Kwesi Johnson, I-Roy, Lee Perry, The Upsetters, King Tubby, The Aggrovators, Soul Syndicate, Errol Dunkley, U-Roy, Niney the Observer, Dennis Alcapone, Augustus Pablo, Inner Circle, Third World...

All the time, too many to mention, but my favorites are the Grateful Dead and the Who.

Yes, so no one I hang out with knows what I'm talking about when I talk about music. Cheap Trick, Meat Loaf, Billy Idol, the list goes on and on. I also listen to earlier stuff from the 50s like Bobby Vee and Del Shannon.
