I'd choose House since I just recently got into the show. I've never seen Grey's Anatomy, but from all the previews of the upcoming episodes I can't say that I am too interested in even trying it out.

House is one of my favorite shows. Hugh Laurie is brilliant in this show.

House is the kind of show that you always want to watch, and can watch an episode more than once. The acting is great, the writing is great, and the characters are fun to follow. It isn't all about drama between characters, and it will make you laugh, and be shocked at both house and whatever else is going on.
Also, I know this wasn't an option, but Scrubs is a good show too.

Although I do watch Grey's Anatomy, I think House has superior acting and story lines. Hugh Laurie is a great actor...so unbelievably sardonic. His ability to speak with an American accent is uncanny.

House. Sure it's got some major flaws in the portrayal of medical practice (have YOU ever seen a doctor draw blood? Hello! Why are they doing the work of nurses and lab techs?). But it's still far more interesting than GA, IMHO.

I watched both faithfully when they started but Grey's became too soap opera like and I avoid that shit at all costs. The most drama you get with House is whether or not he'll end up with Cuddy. I loved the quick witted one liners on Grey's but House's continuous repetoire of razor edged honesty is a constant laugh and shock.
