Every single time. Why take the risk? Also, I have a 2 year old son, and feel that if I don't show him that it is important to wear a seatbelt he will not take it seriously when he gets older and is *gasp* driving on his own!
-
Yes, Now a days the vehicle won't stop beeping until you do!
-
I didnt use to so much, but ever since i started driving i always but it on.
-
Never did until that pesky $81 fine! ;-)
-
always have and always will....except for that one time, when I was just days away from giving birth and the seatbelt was very uncomfortable, and yes you guessed it, I got a ticket!!!
-
yes i do
-
No :)
-
Not all the time.
-
Not always. Sometimes I feel annoyed when I put it.
-
hell yeah i dont want to die in a car crash
-
Yes the police around here are very strict.
-
no
-
ALWAYS! Here in Pennsylvania, the police can stop a motorist for simply not wearing the seatbelt: Result: $100 Fine + Points on the motorist's driving record: FURTHER punishment - to add insult to injury: The insurance companies increase premiums, raising the insurance company's gross dollars AND improving THEIR bottom line. Thanks for asking your Q! I enjoyed answering it! VTY, Ron Berue Yes, that is my real last name! Sources: Because you asked. Some personal observations.
-
Yes.
-
Yes, I always do.
-
NO. I wear it very seldom and I think it's pathetic that the government doesn't have enough control in our lives and they have to pass a law making us wear seat belts. That should be my choice. People die who don't wear it and people die who do. If it's your time, it's your time. That law was passed just so the government would have a reason to pull you over and give you a ticket for no reason so they could get more of your hard earned money.
-
Always. It's the law.
-
Yes, my car actually will beep and a little light on the dashboard will blink until you, and the person in the passenger seat put on your belts.
-
Yes, it's habit. My one car actually keeps beeping if I don't.
-
Always. "Clunk Click every trip".............
-
Always. It is the law here in Nova Scotia, Canada. There is a fine levied, if you are caught not wearing one. But I have to say, I feel more secure wearing it.
-
100% of the time, yes, I absolutely do!!
-
...yep...I do.
-
When I was a kid I didn't wear my seatbelt. We were stopped by the police, but because the tax disc was down. I was scared because I thought it was because I didn't wear my seatbet. I now always wear my seatbalt
-
YES! we "have" to .. i live in New Zealand by the way..
-
Yes I do. always.
-
Always
-
Only when we're in a vehicle!!
-
i never wear my seatbelts when i'm driving or am in someone elses car, even though they are mandatory in my country. i just don't find them comfortable enough. and since i don't cause any danger to anyone else (i always happen to sit in the front seats) i think it's my choice whether to wear them or not. besides there have been cases where people have survived serious accidents while not wearing seatbelts by being thown out of their cars, when they would have surely been killed otherwise. so seatbelts could kill you as well:) i guess i just don't like them, that's all.
-
if im out on our property no but on the road yes
-
Yes, as do my children. It would be ignorant not to.
-
Yes, I always wear my seatbelt when I'm in a vehicle. I do admit that at first it was only because it was mandatory, but now it is out of habit as well. Besides, I don't want to get pulled over and given a ticket.
-
Absolutely. Anyone who doesn't where their seatbelt is a loser. Be safe, not stupid. Besides, it isn't like it's not cool to where it any more is it? (how many times did I use "it" ha).
-
I do now. After I found out that insurance would not pay the full amount if I got in an accident and was found to not be wearing my seatbelt. I hate the dang thing and fear it. I was in an accident. The air bag did not deploy and in general all was well until I found out two days later when I could no longer breath that because the seat belt would not give, it broke my sternum.
-
Always - since about 1970. The first person I knew to die in a car accident who would have been saved by a seatbelt was my grandfather. That made a tremendous impact on me. Since that time, I have known many who have died, whose lives would have been saved by the belt. I have been called on to officiate at the funerals of many more. There was an entire year in Santa Clara County, an area of over a million at that time, when NO ONE DIED in an accident who was belted. One entire year! My has been saved by a seatbelt. On one rare occasion, I did not buckle up and had an accident. It sent me to the hospital to have my head sewn up and I had a concussion. At 25 miles per hour, I broke the windshield with my head. I would have had no injury with a belt. Any way you play the statistics (and there are always exceptions), this is the one, most efficient and successful car safety, life-saving behavior in cars that has ever been invented.
-
always, so does anyone that gets in my car, they have to! in fact, we have a hefty penalty here if anyone in the car isnt wearing their seat belt !
-
you bet
-
I do. I also lock all the doors to my home at all times, and wear a bicycle helmet when I ride my bike. Safety first, as I always say.
-
Click it or ticket baby! I sure do, it saves ya the risk of getting a ticket.... not to mention can save your life!
-
Alway, I do it because it the law and I also do it because I'm raise 2 children who look up to me and I want them to know that what you do when you get into a car. Sometime when we get into the car my 3 year old daughter say but your seat belt on daddy and mommy even if we are wearing them.
-
Yes I do, I've seen what they can do in an accident and what happens when they are not on. You say they are uncomfortable but how uncomfortable will you feel when your in the hospital with broken bones and possibly a broken neck that will prevent you from moving for the rest of your life. Oh yeah, death is not very comfortable either.
-
Experiencing driving with my parents was a good enough reason to put on a seatbelt.
-
Yes, I feel weird without it.
-
Only if I see a cop! The dinging isn't a problem since I got a shhding!
-
It's the first thing i do when i get into the car. It's kind of a habit for me.
-
It's like a habit I can't break. It's the first thing I do when I sit in my car.
-
Yup. It's like having one contact in. You keep thinking about it and it gets annoying
-
Absolutely, always. Anyone riding with me has to put theirs on, too, or I'm not moving.
-
Yep. Always do. It doesn't feel right until I do. I start the car first and let the oil circulate good while I buckle the seat belt.
-
ever since the seatbelt laws have been put in place in the 70's and 80's parents have buckeled put there children now these kids are adults and still put on seatbelts cause thats all they know
-
Yep, always. Though I must say it can be quite uncomfortable sometimes. But it's worth it.
-
Yep, state law, now it's just habit.
-
Nope I hate the damn thing! Why don't people yelling about "choice" say something about that law?? huh?
-
always have always will because i bet the first and only time i wont i'll get into an accident haha just my luck
-
YES
-
Yes, specially after being in an accident myself and the thing that saved me from any injury at all was my seatbelt..
-
I do now but when I was a teen I never did.
-
I rarely where one. Trust me, its tooo confining!
-
For 35 years yo...
-
Yes - but I resisted for many yrs. When I learned that professionals (going 140 mph+) always buckled I figured, who was I to argue.
-
Yes.
-
yes even if it is like a 20 foot drive
-
most of the time, when my bf is with me all of the time or i have to hear his mouth.
-
I never used to, I always had to be told to when i was a kid. But when my friend died in a Car accident, from not wearing a seatbelt, i do now WHENEVER i enter a car, i've got into the habbit now, i do it without even thinking.
-
Always in a car or truck, never in the house or in a locomotive.
-
Yes I do. Not only for safety, but otherwise my car has an obnoxious ding and flashing warning.
-
I aways have and do though, I still don't think the government has the right or should make laws forcing us to.
-
yes, its a good habbit!
-
Yeah with no questions asked. I always do excluding when I'm going somewhere else in the neighborhood or moving the car out the driveway.
-
