Ive seen the date on most of them when I watch those kind of shows but I don't think its the date they are trying to edit out, I don't know what it is but I don't think its that.

You're reading Why do TV shows that show home videos always censor the date on the video? Is a date somehow offensive or some kind of privacy risk?

Ever watch AFV? Just about all of their's are censored. What else could it be? The date and time are all that remain stationary on a video. I think it's usually just the day and the month censored, not the year for some reason.
