  • It depends on how much the lawyer wants, but maybe not. What is the difference in penalties in your jurisdiction anyways? I find it funny as my first speeding ticket was written up as 74 in a 55 though it was actually... normal flow-of-traffic speeds for Eastern MA. However, I treated the officer respectfully and he didn't feel it worth having me travel from NH to Maryland (20+ is "Must Appear" there) so it was knocked down on the spot. Remember, the citing officer has some discretion so if they wrote it up as 29-over, you're already on shaky ground.
