Help answer this question below.

3 cars involved in a rear end collision. 1st car has 1 person, 2nd car has 3ppl, 3rd car has 1 person. The 1st and 3rd car's statements match, but all 3 ppl in the 2nd car say diff. Who's statement would be more possible to be true?

    Rule them all out and go with the evidence at the scene. Barring that, vehicle #2 is likely at fault when it comes to a rear end collision, but vehicle #3 may or may not be liable. Can't say much without pictures, details, etc.

    Unless the 1st and 3rd car drivers are involved in some kind of scheme to get money from insurance, I'd be more willing to believe the two separate drivers, since they are not related or have any reason to have the same story.

    I would have a tendency to believe the front vehicle's story, they have no liability in the accident, therefore they have no reason to "twist" the truth. The fact that the front driver's story is the same as the rear driver's story only makes me believe it more.

    It actually does not matter, concerning vehicle #2.

    The rear vehicle is at-fault, causing a chain reaction.
