Big mistake. I wrote to a death row inmate, Shannon Agofsky and was totally "played". Once I started to notice his manipulations and deception I could take a step back and realize how he had been lying to me all along-even about stupid small stuff. For me this was the first and only time, and the last, that I will put my friendship and support out there to a convict. Maybe not all of them are bad but it just isn't worth the gamble and the time and effort it takes to weed through the bad ones to get to a decent on. There are lots of people in this world that need love and support that HAVEN'T made decisions that put them on death row!

I would not give your real address, but I see no harm in it as long as you dont get sucked into his pleases of innocence.

+6 and thank you for the safety precaution. There are some women that are on deathrow I believe, either that or they are in for life without parole.

and its likely they have no family, or do not get visitors. I wouldnt do it, but its a kind gesture to allow for some contact with someone outside the walls.

Bitterfly, can you get in touch with me please?? I know this an old subject, regarding writing to prisoners, but I have had some terrible experiences, and I wish to share and see how others have come out, with good stuff to say or bad stuff. This Shannon Agofsky one is an idiot I wrote to before, and it appears I was writing to him at the same time as Bitterfly was, in 2008! I feel like such an idiot myself, and I won't write to another person in jail or prison. But,anyway, Bitterfly, if you read this, or anyone else who has written to Shannon Agofsky, please get in touch with me. I don't mind putting my e-mail out here: DebbieWith7@aol.com
