Help answer this question below.

My Samsung TV keeps turning off every 5 seconds and when it does I have to unplug it, and it still does the same thing. The power source is ok, but the Standby/Temp light flashes red about every 5 seconds. What is wrong with my TV?

    Mine is doing the same thing If i let it cool down it seems to work, sometimes for hours other times minutes, it's a older CRT HDTV, not worth much but I don't want to toss it, hoping I can find a cheap do it yourself fix anyone else know what may be the problem?

    There's a good chance that there is a defect in the television's power supply. It is also possible that the circuit that latches the television 'on' is faulty. In any case, it's time to call service.
