What if those who were insane were all along telling the truth, they were just overwhelmed with how pitiful society has become and let it consume them? What if the sane were the ones that needed to be locked away?

Well to throw my two cents in a hopeful direction..
I think that Americans..I mean
people in the United States
are said to suffer and as evidenced
to my senses rampant mental
illness..or is that somebody
consumed with the media, money
and material objects so driven
to get them go home and shut the door,,which are many
that people dont communicate like they did before
and people need communication
so ya . I'd think some people feel
rejected and despondent if they have half of an inquisitive brain instead of that of a media moghul.

I think you are confusing sanity with diagnosed behavior pathology. They are not the same thing. The latter includes neurosis and psychosis which may lead to bizaare behavior that is generally beyond the ability of the individual to control without proper therapy, medication or some other type of treatment plan. Sanity, on the other hand, is a legal description that concerns an individual's ability to tell right from wrong or understanding the consequences of their actions. So, a doctor or a therapist would never say that someone is sane or insane, but a court of law might make such a determination in order to proceed with criminal charges. I suppose in most cases that if someone is declared to be insane that they probably also have some type of psychiatric condition, but certainly not everyone who has such a condition would ever be considered to be also insane.

Well then they are shit out of luck because us "insane" folks have them outnumbered.
