  • Who says it's 'better' to live in America?
  • I would say it WAS better to live in America. It used to be the freest, wealthiest country in the world with a fantastic standard of living for ordinary people. However regrettably those days are over. America is losing the freedoms that made it great. Its economy is heavily indebted and is sliding into depression. Its government is totally criminal, abusing sovereign countries and its own citizens. If I was American I would be tempted to get out now before the 2nd great depression hits and the war machine goes on the rampage. However home is where the heart is, so I'd probably stay anyway and do my part to try to turn things around. America is turning into a fascist police state. The US government carried out 9/11... Most people just can't bring themselves to accept that, but it's true. The american public need to face reality and stop pretending everything is ok before it's too late.
  • It's probably better for you because you're American. I, on the other hand, am not, so it wouldn't be better for me to live in America, by which I assume you mean the United States.
  • because although there are alot of ridiculus laws, they're easy to break :D
  • IS it better to live in America?
  • It isn`t. Well, I guess it`s probably better than Afghanistan or Iraq at the moment for obvious reasons.
  • Since I've lived here my whole life, I didn't know it was "better".
  • You should ask this to the million of illegals who live here already and the thousands who try to immigrate, legal or otherwise, to this country everyday. That fact alone is a testimony to what the rest of the world thinks about America and our way of life. Face it, how many other countries have such an immigration problem like The USA? Maybe we'd better call the Peruvian ambassador and ask about their immigration policies and problems.
  • Which part of America? Well, if you're talking about us--and by us, I mean U.S.--I'd have to say, it's not. For whatever thing we have that's good, I can most certainly find a country that has it better.
  • I don't think that it is any longer. The facts are that the US is ranked 12th in the world in education, the country is severely in debt, the people are ranked 7th in the world as far as obesity, and first in the world for rate of incarceration. It would take a LOT of changes, and not just from the government, to turn the country around.
  • Maybe 20 or 30 years ago... It's not the case anymore. There are MANY other countries that would be better to live in over the US. What made America so great was the Freedoms and Liberties, and the economic drive to success. These things are not available for all Americans any longer. And other countries offer this now.
