  • Yes. I've found that any kind of successful work under pressure involves my state of mind. To wit: Instead of allowing myself to feel the pressure, I convince myself that I choose to work, and that no amount of browbeating from a supervisor is going to change my attitude. I allow myself to take control. They may not like the results of my work under pressure. Example: I needed to fix a vital piece of equipment that someone else caused to run improperly. I allowed myself to calm down, and do what was needed. I bit my tongue and allowed the know-it-all to yell and scream at me. I did EXACTLY what they wanted me to do (which involved my not saying anything). When it inevitably didn't work. I calmly informed them that I could make something work if I was allowed to do something on my own, and without the pressure.
