it depends: if you like to have lots of friends over to hang out and play video games, get the wii, if you just like to sit down and play with a friend or by yourself, get the PS3. But in my opinion: GET THE WII cause its portable, wireless controlers, and cam play gamecube games (if you have any)

I love the PS3! It has such a variety of games, and a lot of them have online play so you can play against a bunch of people. PS3 has wireless controllers too. The wii is a fun party console, but the PS3 has a trump card. Three Words: Little Big Planet. It's going to be such a tight game. You can create your own levels and play a story mode. Not to mention the PS3 exclusive titles. My aunt has a wii and it's fun to play bowling and boxing, but to play actual games it sucks. It's really only excellent at sports games. GO PS3 ALL THE WAY!!!
