Question

Help answer this question below.

We had four old friends from college visit us from out of town and did not enjoy the weekend (we had to do all the cooking, and they didn't want to spend any money to DO anything?!). They want to come back next summer: how do we avoid these cheap guests?

We had this happen one time. We did what Night Hawk said in a way. We told them that due to my husbands health condition, they were more than happy to come visit, but we would book them in a local hotel. Tell them how much it would cost them, etc. It wasn't expensive. They agreed and stayed in the hotel. We had a couple nights where we invited them over for dinner, but other than that they were on thier own. We told them if they wanted to do something to let us know in advance so we could arrange our work/school schedule. They did want to do something on the weekend which we agreed to. It worked out much better that way. Little did they know that my husbands health condition was his inability to control his anger while they were here last time which made my life horrible.

i would advise them that although you enjoyed their company that the house was too cramped with them there and suggest like nighthawk said that they look for a hotel or b and b. if you dont even want them to come and stay in a b and b i would be honest and tell them that it was not your kind of weekend that you enjoy going out to places and taking a break from cooking at the weekends. they might take the hint that they are stingy with that.

I would just tell them that stuff was just too hectic at the time and that they should probably stay at a hotel or something.
