You did not give the year. Front wheel drive check your constant velcoity joints located on the shafts that come from the engine to front wheels. If rear wheel look for u joints wearing out . Both can be checked by lifting car and wiggling shafts and see if the joints have any slack. Mr BVill
Why have eight cylinders in an engine? Why not have one big cylinder of the same displacement of the eight cylinders instead?

You're reading I have a toyota corolla sedan. Recently, i have noticed that when i am driving at lower speed, and when i am moving from one gear into another(higher one), i hear a knock(single one) from the car. what could be the cause of this knock?

Thanks Bill for your helpful answer. I took the car to a mechanic who had to check the CV joints and found them to have some play in them. He fixed them , and greased them too, and now the problem is literally gone. Thanks once again
