Help answer this question below.

How can a dog be trained NOT to eat poisoned substances thrown over a walled in yard? Live in Africa where dogs are excellent house protection. But have lost several to poison.

    I read in a fiction book that in the 1800's they use mix hot peppers with meat and leave it where the dog would find it. It is supposed to train them to only eat from their dish.

    Place chunks of meat in large rat-traps at random spots especially in grassy areas. Gradually setting in open areas. Don't let the dog see you doing it. Let the dog loose at its appointed time even if the traps are set hours ago. After the dog gets snapped on his nose a couple times he will avoid these tidbits except what he sees his owner dishing out.

    Train him with Remote Collar,throw food on the garden,once your dog comes close to it and puts his nose on it you will shock him...usually it takes just once or twice for the dog to be shocked to completely stop the behaviour..this is how we train protections dogs to avoid food from strangers,foods in bins and foods thrown into gardens or location where they patrol...and it is 100% effective...
