My eMac runs at 900mhtz and has a 40 GB hard drive. Whenever I put it to sleep it wakes up every 30 seconds. It does this 2-3 times before staying asleep. What is wrong with it?

If you walk around near it the mouse might move and it will turn on.

I had thought of that , it does this even when there is no movement at all in the office , its the consistancy that troubles me the most. Your answer is however possible , but proven incorect, Thank you for your time Dog

i had an emac and i too had the same problem with mine, i came to this assumption... in system preferneces it says something about "dont put the comp to sleep if the modem detects a ring" ie, if your computer is using the internet downloading/uploading/filesharing etc. i found that if i had been downloading in the past hour my emac wouldnt sleep without a struggle. i hope this helps a bit :)
