    Waste doesn't build up in the colon, it passes through it. Autopsies show that old waste doesn't stick to the colon walls, and colonoscopies show that the average colon doesn't have anything sticking to it either--the laxative that cleans the colon out doesn't leave anything stuck to its walls.
