I will go with my boy Brad Lidge of my hometown Phillies who pitched around a leadoff double in the ninth last night to clinch his 26th save in 26 chances this season.

This year I will go with Joakim Soria
of the Kansas City Royals

this year it is Francisco Rodriguez.
For all time, it is Mariano Rivera.
Forget it, it has to be Trevor Hoffman. Not only is he the all-time saves leader, but he was the first to 500 saves. Rivera, Lidge and F-Rod will all be out of the game soon as they throw too many fastballs. This will do too much damage to their arms. Hoffman doesn't rely on fastballs. He is a PITCHER, not a thrower.
All time Mariano Rivera, today still Mariano Rivera, he's amazing unfortunetly for us yankee fans this may be his last year but I don't think so, not till he breaks the saves record which if he stays for a little while longer he'll do
Mariano Rivera
In 2008: Brad Lidge and Francisco Rodriguez
All time: Trevor Hoffman and Mariano Rivera
It's Mo Rivera. He's got pretty much 1 pitch and it's all he needs, because he's got pinpoint control, and his poise and confidence puts fear in the batter. Best closer now, and of all time.
What do you think of the pitcher who set the record at 105 mph fast ball, fastest ever recorded on radar?

Cole Hammels (philly pitcher) pitched a bad game on Saturday. Later he said he pitched the game with a "dead arm", what does this mean?
