Rosie and Lucy (kitty and doggie) awwwww now isn't that sweet...

my pillow! I'm sooo tired and longing for it
My two cats, Satan and Catastrophe. Cauchemar was a great friend too, but, he died. :(
It's like there's some bond between my cats and I, like they know how I'm feeling. I suppose being so independent, my cats only come to see me when I'm physically ill, or when I'm sad to comfort me or when they need something, whether food or attention, in exchange for food and general maintenance.
I think my cats use me, but they're honest about it, unlike most real life ''friends''. They're not neutered either, and I don't want to, it might kill their sixth sense or whatever it is that seems to make them be able to have true friendships, or at least, some primitive form of compromise.
My dog

My awesome dog!She even knows when I'm sad :)and music and sugar, but I gave up sugar:(
My cat, Mariah. I live alone and she's kind of like my child. Don't know why I didn't get a cat earlier in my single life. She makes living alone more tolerable for me. She's "someone" to talk to. Before her, I didn't talk to anyone for long periods of time, especially on the weekends. My family members all live out of town and my friends are busy in their married lives. And, after a long day at work, she's "someone" to come home to.
My cat sooty aka schnookyboo, chocolate, fluffy pants, pablo, fudge, ootapootatoota, beautiful boy. Hes a very good listener.
My dog :) he always puts a smile on my face no matter how good or bad my day was and thats what i call a good friend... Wouldn't u say so?
Id have to say a dog. They always know how you are felling and they are always listning. And even better.... they dont talk crap!

WoW.... I can't really say the dogs, because they're more like children, with the dependency issues and the fact that I'm always praising and rewarding them with treats. Generally, I don't like to have friends that rely on a reward system.
I'd say my best non-human friend is a cactus my partner gave me the first year we dated. I named him Herbert *though I can't remember why,* and he's been part of my life for fifteen years now.
Most of the year, Herbert lives on the deck, but he likes to winter over on the kitchen window sill. He flowers when he's happy, doesn't require much in the way of extra attention *as long as he's watered every three month or so* and I have ""confided" in him while going through moments of stress.
In 1997 he moved cross country with us. He rode the entire trip in the car, from Alabama to California without making one demand. He was quiet, but I'm sure grateful, when we stopped in the New Mexico and Arizona deserts so he could "meet" and be photographed with his feral cousins *he tends to be quiet and shy.*
If something happened to him, I'd probably cry, and would surely thing of him often.
If all my "friends" were as understanding, low-maintenance, quiet and easy to get along with, I'm sure my life would be less stressful.
my alter-ego. His name is Rasputan...
Lucky, our German Shepherd because he accepts things as they are and doesnt hold grudges,as he is the man in the house he protects the girls
As a small child my Gran'mom told me:
1) When you walk, hold your head high and look straight ahead. Do your very best to NEVER look down. When you look down, folks will think you're broke and looking for money.
2) THE VERY BEST friends you'll EVER have are in your wallet or pocket:
Benjamin Franklin: The $100 bill.
Ulysses S. Grant: The $50 bill.
Andrew Jackson: The $20 bill.
Alexander Hamilton: The $10 bill
Abraham Lincoln: The $5 bill.
George Washington: The $1 bill.
As far as Thomas Jefferson on the $2 bill, folks aren't very familiar with that bill. It's better to have two $1 bills.
Thanks for asking your Q! I enjoyed answering it!
