    Theres plenty of other ways to displin and if you need pain to get it across then thats pretty bad.
    i wouldnt want to see anyone spank my kids and i definetly dont want to be the one to do it either.

    No child deserves to be physically beaten. They are children, they need to learn things. Sometimes it means doing bad things, find a different way to punish them.

    I think people can justify it all they want by talking about methods and how it hurts the parents more than the kid- but if you're a little kid you aren't really paying attention to that. All you know is, my parents are angry and they're hitting me. So, the next time I get angry, it's ok for me to hit my little sibling. What's wrong with communication?

    physical violence begets physical violence. If we want to stop people from feeling comfortable hitting each other and fighting then we need to teach them young. All the gang violence and domestic voilence could be greatly reduced if we did not expose the children to the physical violence and teach them constructive ways to deal with their anger. I know it is not easy, there are times I picture myself hitting, but I refrain. My husband yells all the time and I see that taking a negative toll as well. Our son reflects that. The more constructive your disiple, the better off the child will be for life in my opinion.

    I think its wrong because there is a very fine line when it comes to spanking becoming abuse, its hard to see that line when your hurt and angry with a child and i grew up in an enviroment where the fine line was crossed many times. I disapline mine without resorting to hitting them.:-)+

    No spanking is not wrong. there are ALOT of narrow minded people out there that think spanking and Beating is the same and it's not.
