  • Most sellers ask that payment be received within 10 days after the end of the auction. This is a reasonable amount of time. Usually, they also request communication (e-mail) within 3 days so the buyer can give them information. IE, method of payment, name and address. This also gives the seller the opportunity to let the buyer know who and where to send payment to. Obviously, a "reasonable" amount of time will differ somewhat depending on the seller and the situation. If a seller hasn't received payment within 2 weeks however, an e-mail should be sent to the buyer to see what's up. The auction may have slipped their mind (oops! I'm sorry, I'll get that money order right to you!) If a buyer still hasn't sent payment within a month, it's time for the seller to tell E-bay about the buyer. It's also time to post some negative feedback. At any rate, 10 days is a good, average amount of time. Hope this helps :D
