Question

Help answer this question below.

I've noticed that I frequently (about every 6 months or so) get new moles. Now, every mole never gets bigger than 1 to 2 millimeters in diameter, so I was wondering if I should be worried about any type of skin cancer. If you have any info pls let me

I worked on the cancer ward and dermotology units, so if a mole suddenly changes ie colour, or starts to itch, crusts over or size increases then definately get it checked out!

There are millions of people who get moles, all over, it is very common. However, if you are concerned I would suggest you see a Dermatologist and have them checked out. If there is any skin cancer in your family, then it is a must you get checked. You will rest better knowing you are okay. Good Luck

Definitely see your dermatologist, and when you get an examination of your moles, show him/her all of them, even if it's in an embarassing or strange spot (for example, not trying to scare you, but my grandmother had a cancerous mole on her scalp that she never saw). My dermatologist tends to get especially wary of brand new moles, but I'm no expert as to why.

You should have it checked out by a doctor (Dermatologist) if you're worried, it 'could' be cancer, but cancer can almost always be cured if you get to it early, so the sooner you see a doctor the sooner you can relax : P

See a dermatologist if you haven't already. I know I am a HUGE hypocrite when it comes to this. I need to follow this advice as well. I am scared to. Maybe one day I will be able to. It may help you rest easier if you see one, though.
