There would be some who would flip out, but that is true of every religion. Take the Mormon response to an Ozzy Osborne concert, or the banning of Monty Python's The Life Of Brian as examples. There are fundamentalist views in any religion and it is a truism that these are usually the loudest voices.

I would flip out, that doesnt mean I'm an extremist :S It just means Im a respectfull person, I respect the dead. Muslims wouldnt make fun of Moses or Jesus. Treat us the same way.

Disney made a cartoon or maybe it was not Disney but a cartoon was made about the Prophet Muhammad saws and there have been several films and documentaries made through out the muslim and arab world. There culture of Islam is very foreign to many westerners because in the west you joke about God, and the prophets and the clergy and no one is sacred but within muslim culture it is very different. I think the views should be respect just like any other culture whether you agree with it or not and for centuries Christians have written books against the Prophet Muhammad and some Jews and Christians actual wrote books praising him yet Nothing in the Quran or any Islamic Text was written Against Abraham or Moses or Jesus or Buddha for example. It is not part of muslim culture to dis respect prophets but what is and is not respectful is subjective.

It's possible. Many people seem to forget that Islam is about 700 years "younger" than Christianity as a world religion. If you read about historical accounts of Christian attitudes about their religion in the 1300s then perhaps in that context some Muslim beliefs and attitudes can be better understood. I'm not saying that you have to accept every Muslim 'action', and I'm not saying that you should or could agree with any of their beliefs. But it is helpful to understand others, and to be respectful of others' beliefs when it otherwise doesn't concern you. So in that regard it would be disrespectful and unhelpful to create such a television show for public broadcast.

South Park did that, actually. They knocked the Simpsons, Family Guy, and the prophet Mohammed, and Mohammed Ali in a 'special' two-part episode.

There would be a fatwah, or religious killing order, upon the producer.
